The SonBridge Dental Clinic is looking for a dentist to work 4 days a week. If interested, call SonBridge Dental at (509) 956-3165.
The SonBridge Dental Clinic is a non-profit facility committed to resolving the unmet dental needs for all people in the Walla Walla Valley. Our state-of-the-art facility is located behind the radio tower on the southeast corner of SonBridge Community Center. We serve patients both as a free clinic and as a Provider One Apple Health Clinic. We also offer a Cash Supplemental Fee Scale to serve Medicare clients at the Medicaid income level by offering them services at Medicaid rates.
The free SonBridge Dental Clinic, run by volunteer staff, is generally open Monday or Tuesday evenings. Appointments for the free clinic are made by Helpline. Their screening process will include assessment of your income and other financial resources. You may be eligible for an appointment if you meet the following criteria:
- You are a Walla Walla County resident.
- You need a filling or an extraction.
If you are interested in our free dental services and wish to make an appointment, please call Helpline at (509) 529-3377. Helpline is not able to determine eligibility over the phone.
Our clinics have a hygienist on staff for dental cleanings, (appointments with our hygienist will be provided specific to the patient’s needs), a dentist with support staff all of which are committed to relieving dental discomfort and pain. SonBridge Dental is also networked with two local dentists to provide IV sedation or general anesthesia for specific patient needs, as well as limited oral surgery. We have also connected with excellent denturists in Walla Walla and Tri-Cities to provide this service to the clients who need it. For teeth fillings, silver or tooth-colored resin fillings are used depending on location, visibility, and long-term strength.
If SonBridge Dental Clinic can be of service to you, please call (509) 956-3165 to make an appointment or, for those without Medicaid, call Helpline at (509) 529-3377 to begin the eligibility process. Our hours are generally Wednesday and Thursdays 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Fridays 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Phone messages, however, are checked Monday through Friday. If your records need to be transferred from a former dentistry office, we will gladly assist.
About the middle of 2016, the SonBridge Dental Clinic applied for several grants from foundations around the states. While we all threw ourselves headlong into finishing up the Education Center campaign and gong through the energetic process of finishing up construction, God was working on another surprise.
At the end of February, following up on last year's grant application, the dental clinic found it was granted a partnership with the Henry Schein Cares Foundation through the Global Product Donation Program. Through this program, Henry Schein, Inc., the world's largest provider of health care products and services to office-based dental and medical practitioners, provides recipient organizations with several health care product donations valued between $5,000 and $25,000 over the course of two years.
The SonBridge Dental Clinic is so grateful and blessed for this partnership which will provide a greater amount of tools with which to serve our community and allow us to restore more smiles than before. God is good!
